ISRAEL LEBANON CONFLICT HERITAGE

The 1982 Lebanon War started when Israeli forces initial entered Lebanon on June 6, in an operation named “Shalom Hagalil” – “Peace with the Galilee.” That title describes specifically what Israel sought to accomplish via this “invasion” – delivering peace and peaceful for Israeli citizens residing in the Galilee, the area along the
